Broad Overview
The Associate Director, Commercial Development is a customer-facing role responsible for designing customer engagement strategy, driving insight generation, and building productive relationships with Scientific Societies, Speakers, National/Regional Medical Experts and other key influencers in their assigned geography.
The Associate Director, Commercial Development will build advocacy and support for the SERB Oncology Portfolio [Voraxaze® (glucarpidase), Vistogard® (uridine triacetate)] among thought leaders using approved materials and will serve as primary contact with these key influencers.
The Associate Director, Commercial Development is responsible for compliantly liaising with Medical Affairs, R&D, Market Access, Sales, and Marketing to execute customer engagement plans, address customer needs, generate feedback and insights, identify/initiate appropriate projects of mutual interest to SERB and customers, anticipate market trends, and uncover competitive intelligence, ensuring delivery against business objectives.
In the Commercial Development role, some of your responsibilities will include:

Establish Champions in top Oncology Institutions and Thought Leader/KOL engagement

Generate and deliver timely customer insights across care pathways and the hospital setting.

Responsible for deployment of HEOR model including conducting high level discussion with key members of hospitals and Thought Leaders

Conventions and Congresses presence and planning
-
Facilitating pull-through of guidelines and data generation

Engagement with Scientific and Patient Advocacy Societies; identifying key decision-makers and board members

Peer to Peer educational programs
-
Compliance
-
Maintain current scientific knowledge.

Engage with major residency & fellowship programs to provide medical education on our products

Collaborate with Sales Leadership to enhance effectiveness of Key Account Managers and Account Managers

Collaborate with key stakeholders including Sales, Medical, Legal and Regulatory to build and implement integrated Advocacy strategies.

Communicate advocacy and KOL development strategy to the organization and Leadership Team.

Develop and champion SERB brand to ensure it is consistently and meaningfully represented by external and internal stakeholders.

Develop and/or evolve department operational procedures and processes that foster effective communications.

Establish metrics and track program effectiveness and ROI.

Job Requirements:

10+ years of Sales with demonstration of top performance, Medical Science Liaison, Thought Leader Liaison, or Medical Affairs experience preferred

Demonstrated understanding and strategic application of Scientific knowledge, data, and partnerships with Scientific Societies

Demonstrated Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Development

Experience with managing the hospital setting and health systems

Oncology, rare disease experience is preferred

Previous experience in Marketing or Commercial is a plus

Self-motivated with leadership abilities with excellent communication skills

Strong Leader with demonstrated leadership abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Cross Collaboration- demonstrated ability to effectively and compliantly partner across multiple internal teams and stakeholders
