Broad Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and talented Communications Associate reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications and ESG. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful public relations and internal communication initiatives while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a global pharmaceutical company. As a Communications Associate, you will help develop and execute a range of internal and external communication projects and campaigns designed to shape SERB’s public image, support our growth strategy, and foster a strong organizational culture. This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for storytelling, content creation, and collaboration across cultures and countries. The selected candidate will get exposure to a wide range of corporate communications activities and hands-on opportunities to develop new skills. while making a meaningful contribution to SERB and the delivery of life-saving medicines. This individual is expected to be local to our Weybridge, UK office with occasional travel to London or other office locations.

As the Communications Associate (UK) your responsibilities will include:

Content Creation & Campaigns:

• Develop engaging written and visual content for various audiences, including stories for our intranet, social media updates, presentations, infographics, scripts, and blog posts.
• Assist in designing and producing materials using tools such as PowerPoint, SharePoint, Canva, and Adobe products

Internal Communications:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to tell stories that help reinforce

SERB’s culture and business goals:

• Develop materials for employee engagement, such as internet news items, global town hall meetings, and employee engagement programmes
• Support the administration and analysis of our semi-annual employee survey.

Social Media Management:

• Assist in scheduling, creating, and curating content for SERB social media platforms.
• Use software to monitor social media channels and conversations and determine where appropriate to respond or engage.

Collaboration & Learning:

• Gain exposure to the full spectrum of corporate communications activities and meaningfully contribute to communications projects that support the business.
• Work with cross-functional teams in the UK, Europe, and US to address communications needs and tell the company’s stories.
• Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager.
• Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out in accordance with Company values.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Exceptional written communication skills with a strong attention to detail (spelling, grammar, and tone).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Tech-savvy, with an understanding of social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Ideal candidate will be skilled in visual design, video creation, infographics, and/or presentation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
