Broad Overview

This individual will be acting as the lead Accountant for our recently acquired product, RSDL.

This individual should have Manufacturing Accounting experience as a mandatory requirement. 

This individual will report into the US Controller and is expected to work out of our US headquartered office in West Conshohocken, PA 3 days per week.

 

As Accountant, some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Prepares and maintains cost accounting records for manufactured products.
  • Oversees accounting process for manufacturing operations and bill of materials, including work in progress.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany accounts and monitoring of services provided by third parties.
  • Oversees receivables invoice generation and follows through to cash collection.
  • Completion and filing of sales tax returns.
  • Liaison with supply chain teams.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information by preparing and entering journal entries.
  • Prepares month-end accruals, including PO accrual and R&D accrual.
  • Reviews the general ledger for input accuracy and verifies that accounts have been reviewed for content.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Performs monthly bank reconciliation. Completes on-going reviews of deposits in transit and outstanding checks.
  • Assembles monthly close folder on network drive with journal entries, account reconciliations, required backup and signatures.
  • Supports periodic audit of financial statements by interacting with auditors, providing documents to support sample selections, and explaining transactions and results.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Oversees data aggregation for Sunshine Act/transparency reporting.
  • As needed, prepares monthly analysis including budget to actual spend by cost center, T&E reporting, and other ad hoc analysis.
  • Ensures that all activities and interactions are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with company values.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
  • Manufacturing Accounting experience as a mandatory requirement. 
  • 5-7 minimum years of experience preferred. Pharmaceutical industry preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area preferred.
  • An intermediate level PC skill, MS Office, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and good working knowledge of accounting systems (Great Plains and SAP a plus).
  • Knowledge of Sunshine Act/transparency reporting a plus.
  • Ability to make decisions independently.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy & Deadline-oriented.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • FP&A aptitude.
