Broad Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Executive Director to bring expertise and partnership to all SERB market access matters in the US. This position will play a key role in developing and overseeing SERB’s US market access strategies on a national level and lead a team of professionals. This senior role will be responsible for negotiating pricing agreements with healthcare providers, developing patient access initiatives, and advocating for favorable healthcare policies that support the availability of SERB’s products. This role requires a deep understanding of hospital systems (IDN/GPOs customers), value-story development, BIM processes, formulary approvals, etc. Including: excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.

 

This position will report to the US Executive VP, CCO

This is a hybrid role, which requires onsite work a minimum of three days per week (subject to change).

 

As the Executive Director of Value & Access, some of your responsibilities will include:
    • Lead and evolve the Value & Access Team with responsibility for establishing and growing overall success for the current product portfolio.
    • Prepare the entire access organization for an upcoming product launch targeted - Q1 ‘25

 

  • Pricing & Contracting
    • Oversee team (Sr. Pricing Analyst) that manages contract management, chargebacks, rebates, audits, data scrubbing and other operational requirements associated with current and future contracts.
    • Manage all Government Programs and ensure compliance with Federal Regulations for all pricing submissions.
    • Oversight of contract management, chargebacks, and rebates to ensure compliance standards.
    • Create and implement an annual contract strategy for current and launch products.
    • Support the ongoing development of contracts (HPG)
    • Manage contract pull through to ensure effective implementation of company values and messaging.
    • Design and implement a pricing strategy for current and pre-launch products.
    • Identify WAC price increase analytics.
    • Ensure VA/FSS price reporting & contract renewal.
    • Manage Medicare Part B net ASP submission & approval.
    • Oversee and navigate deals desk intricacies to optimize business agreements and enhance organizational market positioning.

 

  • Gross-To-Net
    • Leads Deals Desk process for contract pursuit and discount/rebate approvals.
    • Strong working knowledge of Government & State pricing
    • Clear advisory on Gross to net to improve solutions and forecast accuracy.
    • Manage relationship with external vendor; ensuring they have accurate contract reporting to produce monthly GTN calculation.
    • Take ownership of the product CroFab Liability Management

 

  • Responsible for Account Management Team
    • Management of Director, Account Management and Strategic Account Managers for current and launch portfolio.
    • Manage relationships with national and regional payers, managed care organizations, group purchasing organizations, and integrated delivery networks, to collaborate and ensure access to care.
    • Continually assesses contract performance and demonstrates a strong understanding of pricing implications and downstream impact of the evolving public policy, government, regulatory landscape, and other relevant trends.
    • Oversee account management plans, negotiations, and customer relationships by Key Account Managers
    • Highlight opportunities to ensure contracts are Pulled-Through

 

  • Management of Value Strategy Team (Sr. Director, Value Strategy)
    • Enhance the functional capabilities and provide strategic leadership to ensure broad access across all channels by effectively managing value proposition through pricing and/or select contracting.
    • Specifically providing strategic access oversight for the new launch product and any future acquisitions
  • Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with SERB values.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
  • Minimum 15+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in a market access role.
  • Hospital experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. 
  • Ability to articulate market access problems and solutions whilst taking a firm stand where necessary.
  • Outstanding interpersonal consultative and communication skills (verbal and written) - able to effectively collaborate and communicate with client groups, senior management, and executives within the company.
  • Ability to gain trust at, and work with, all levels of organization. 
  • Excellent presentation/platform skills. 
  • Sincere desire for self-motivated continuous learning. 
  • Experience in providing training to various audiences throughout the Company.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload, multi-task and manage a diverse mix of issues, responsibilities, and challenges.
  • Ability to identify and creatively address problems in an organized, practical, systematic way.
