About Serb Pharmaceuticals

Serb Pharmaceuticals provides rescue medicines typically used in emergency rooms and intensive care units to treat patients for whom there are limited treatment options. We are dedicated to delivering quality medicines that make a real difference to patients and their families through the development, manufacture, and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products. Our current portfolio of antidotes counteracts certain snake venoms and the toxicity associated with some heart and cancer medications.

Broad Function

Assist the Farm & Livestock Supervisor in conjunction with other Technicians to manage the Serb sheep flocks at the Martindale site. This will include performing paddock inspections, day to day husbandry tasks, machinery operation and supplementary feeding activities. Maintenance and Production tasks will also form part of this role.

Principle Responsibilities

• .Undertake day to day flock management activities.
• Strictly following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and contribute to the development and maintenance of these SOP’s.
• Undertake projects as assigned by Farm & Livestock Supervisor.
• Assist the Veterinarians with all animal health issues.
• Participate in Production activities as required.
• Undertake general site maintenance activities including but not limited to:
• • Fencing repairs;
  • Installation and repairs to water infrastructure as it requires attention.
  • Site improvements such as garden maintenance.
• Weekend work is required on a rostered basis as part of this position.

Work out of normal hours may be required where tasks cannot be completed in normal business hours, due to business requirements.

Education and Experience

• Current drivers licence required
• Good literacy and numeracy skills required
• A tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Animal Husbandry would be highly regarded but not essential
• Chemcert accreditation is desirable but not essential

Capable of working with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative when required with a flexible and willing attitude at all times.

Strong written and oral communication skills.
