 BTG are seeking a Warehouse and Distribution Officer to provide Warehousing, Supply and Logistics support to the Company. 

This is a unique warehousing role requiring high level administrational duties combined with general warehouse tasks.

 BTG Australasia manufactures to Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards within a rigorously regulated industry. There is a fundamental requirement that duties be undertaken in compliance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and to a standard that meets regulatory requirements, including TGA, FDA, AQIS and Department of Agriculture.

 

Duties include but are not limited to

  • Purchasing of consumables for the Turretfield & Martindale Sites. 

  • Receiving incoming goods to Stores. 

  • General Stores Duties: 

  • Processing requisitions, picking and delivering consumables for Martindale & Turretfield Sites in a timely manner. 

  • Packing and Storing Frozen Serum each working day.

  • Assisting with Serum dispatch and receipt from an Offsite Storage Facility. 

  • Assisting with Serum Exports and required imports.

  • Ensuring that Warehouse Databases are routinely updated, including Finance Systems.

  • Participating, as necessary, in Quality Systems, including Quality Events, Corrective Actions, Change Controls and Audits. 

  • General Administration, including data entries that comply with quality processes, updating Quality Documents – Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Records, Master Lists, EHS documents, risk assessments and Specifications. 

 

Education and Experience 

  • Higher education certificates or diplomas in Warehouse Management, Materials Handling or something similar are highly desirable. 

  • Hold a current high-risk forklift Class LF licence or willing to obtain. 

  • Sound literacy and numerical skills are considered essential, as is computer experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook and Excel). 

  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry is a distinct advantage. 

  • Exposure to purchasing and stock control systems is desirable. 

  • Exposure to pick / packing of consumables

  • Capable of solving problems creatively with an outcomes-oriented approach that fulfils regulatory requirements. 

  • Capable of working autonomously and unsupervised, maintaining a focus on the Department’s Function. 

  • Capable of working in an environment with complex systems and numerous distractions. 

  • Confident in working with employees at all levels of the business using developed communication skills to identify and understand requirements. 

  • Must be able to perform data entry and word processing tasks at a moderate pace.
