Broad Overview
We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to join our US Legal & Compliance team. Reporting to the VP of Legal & Compliance, this role provides broad legal and administrative support to SERB’s contracting activities and corporate governance work. This includes drafting and reviewing agreements, managing our contracts database, coordinating HCP engagement activities, supporting regulatory filings, and collaborating closely with colleagues across departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, can manage multiple priorities, and enjoys working as part of a small, high-performing team.
As a Senior Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:
- Support the VP of Legal & Compliance and the US legal and compliance team to help ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Draft, review, and revise a variety of contracts and amendments (e.g., CDAs, vendor agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements) under attorney supervision
- Act as a key point of contact for internal inquiries on legal and contractual matters
- Administer and maintain the contracts database system: design and improve processes, generate reports, train users and troubleshoot as needed
- Coordinate compliance with HCP engagement policies, including HCP contracting, needs assessments, debarment checks, fair market value determinations and associated reporting
- Assist with managing and filing legal documentation relating to each of the Company’s US subsidiaries
- Support preparation and organization of corporate governance documents, diligence folders, and associated materials for filings, financings and acquisitions
- Assist with obtaining and renewing applicable federal and state licenses and registrations
- Liaise with the Company’s registered agent on state filings and annual reports
- Coordinate with outside counsel on document production and discovery requests in litigation matters
- Prepare and update legal documents, training materials, and presentations
- Perform administrative legal tasks, including obtaining signatures and preparing documents for execution
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as requested by the VP of Legal & Compliance

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 6 years of paralegal experience in a corporate legal department, law firm, or similar environment.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry strongly preferred.
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adjusting to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Solid understanding of contracts and corporate legal documentation.
- Experience creating or improving processes that enhance department efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with contracts management systems a plus.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
