Broad Overview

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will be an integral part of an exciting journey to modernize Serb’s data and reporting platform to radically improve business intelligence and decision making.  The developer will be responsible for working within the BI team to deliver end-to-end (data to reporting) solutions that meet current and new needs of the organization globally.

 

This individual will report into SERBs Global Senior Manager, Business Intelligence and is expected to work out of our Conshohocken, PA office on a hybrid schedule.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability, flexibility, and adaptability to handle multiple and changing priorities and be able to independently collaborate with key stakeholders and consultants. Excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and time management skills are a must for this role.

 

As the Sr. BI Developer, some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain data warehouse and operational databases in MS SQL Server on premise, SQL Azure Cloud, and Snowflake
  • Create and support data ETL across all internal and external data sources
  • Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions (Power BI)
  • Support delivery of reporting, ad hoc, and analytics requests via ad-hoc data pulls when needed
  • Understand all Business Unit’s unique businesses and their data to aid in the development of efficient data modeling
  • Collaborate within cross functional teams to resolve complex systems, data & data flow issues to ensure data integrity.
  • Partner with the Analytics team for continuous evolution and enrichment of BI solutions
  • Engage in master data management to ensure data quality, integrity, and security
  • Work with IT infrastructure to ensure the security and availability of data.
  • Establish and manage BI technical processes to ensure that reports and dashboards are produced on schedule.
  • Support and maintain project documentation such as business requirements, technical design, and mapping documents, data flow diagrams, report specifications etc.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of Information Technology experience with a strong focus on data warehousing and reporting solutions
  • 5+ years of experience with data modelling and ETL implementations
  • 5+ years of experience with developing applications, reports, and dashboards
  • Experience with business requirements gathering across cross-functional teams
  • Experience with report development using Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and writing SQL analytical queries
  • Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake) and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, ADF, Matillion)
  • Working knowledge of Master Data Management concepts and tools such as Syncari
  • Be proactive in identifying data issues and solve problems with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to document requirements, methodologies, and processes
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to grasp existing and new concepts
  • Veeva CRM Data expereince nice to have, not required

 

Highly Preferred:

  • Pharma Industry Experience
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms
  • Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and best practices
