Broad Overview 

Regional Business Director, US Cardiology is a key first-line leadership role responsible for hiring and leading the US customer-facing Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) for the upcoming launch of Bentracimab, FDA Breakthrough Therapy. 

The role will be accountable for the development and implementation of the integrated hospital account management strategy to deliver best-in-class long lasting revenue performance. 

 

This individual will report into the Head of Sales, Cardiology.

 

As a Regional Business Director, your responsibilities will include:  

  • Hire and lead a highly skilled acute care hospital team with focus on Bleeding and Surgery care pathways for the launch of Bentracimab in the US 

  • Lead Bentracimab pre-launch engagement and education of the P&T hospital decision makers for successful product adoption at BLA approval 

  • Implement sales objectives by coordinating and aligning the efforts and activities of various sales operations 

  • Coordinating all business activities to hit objectives and drive result within your geographic area of responsibility 

  • Meet short term objectives while demonstrating commitment to BTG’s longer term strategic objectives 

  • Set clear direction, communicate, train, guide, inspire and hold accountable sales personnel in order to maximize sales and team performance 

  • Develop effective business plans to execute selling strategies that are consistent with corporate brand and marketing plans and are tailored to geography and customer context 

  • Track established metrics and program effectiveness and ROI. 

  • Develop the skills and knowledge of TSMs to improve effectiveness in sales execution 

  • Identify gaps in performance and devise appropriate interventions including coaching, training and performance management 

  • Serve as the product knowledge expert for Bentracimab supporting the TSMs within your geographic area of responsibility 

  • Ensure field is compliant with Company promotional guidelines and SOPs 

  • Visit customers with field sales personnel to ascertain sales effectiveness 

  • Provide integrated leadership across the organization 

  • Ensure flawless collaboration with key stakeholders including Marketing, ComDev, MSL, Medical, Legal and Regulatory to build and implement integrated engagement strategy 

  • Participate on corporate wide inter-departmental task forces and project teams 

  • Communicate to Commercial Leadership Team and pears business challenges and opportunities 

  • Provide key market insights and field feedback to marketing and leadership teams 

  • Develop and champion SERB brand to ensure it is consistently and meaningfully represented by external and internal stakeholders. 

  • Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with Company Values 

  • This position requires ~75% of travel in large multi-state regions

To be successful in this role, you should have and/or demonstrate: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree preferred 

  • 5+ years of Sales Leadership experience, 3 of which Leading Teams in Acute Care Hospital sales 

  • Strong Leader with demonstrated team formation and leadership 

  • Proven track record in Acute Care Hospital Complex Sale Model   

  • Demonstrated understanding and strategic application of scientific knowledge, customer insights and account management  

  • Deep experience with Acute Care Hospital products is highly preferred 

  • Promoting products with Breakthrough Therapy designation is a plus 

  • Direct experience in building the sales and commercial capabilities for emerging pharmaceutical companies is a plus 

  • Startup and Launch experience is a plus 

  • Project Management experience is a plus 

  • Cardiovascular, Thrombosis, Hematology or Surgery experience is preferred 

  • Corporate experiences in Marketing, Sales Ops, Training or other commercial functions is highly preferred 

  • Self-motivated and entrepreneur spirit with leadership abilities and excellent communication skills 

  • Experience managing large multi-state regions is required
