Broad Overview

The pharmaceutical Trade Operations Analyst’ is responsible for managing Trade Operations and Commercial Channel Partners for the following brands: Speciality Pharmaceuticals (Spec Pharma) – CroFab, DigiFab, Voraxaze, Cyanokit, Xuriden, and Vistogard. This position reports to the Senior Director of Trade Relations.

 

As the Trade Operations Analyst, some of your responsibilities will include:
  1. Manage relationships with Trade Channel Partners: Wholesalers, Specialty Distributors and Specialty Pharmacy
    • Manage all day-to-day activities with wholesaler distribution partners to ensure effective and efficient distribution to the end-user customer. Foster and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
    • Monitor all Channel Partner Distribution Services Agreements to ensure compliance and adherence to all terms, conditions, fees and renewal dates
    • Perform daily analytics and monitoring of wholesaler forward DC inventory levels, providing recommendations regarding inventory levels; track seasonal and other sales trends to ensure channel inventory is aligned with demand
    • Support new product launch planning activities, including coordination with cross-functional launch teams and channel partners, contracting and negotiation
    • Provide insight on channel trends and monitor distribution service to ensure optimal performance of all channel partners
    • Perform regular business reviews with all channel partners, including all performance analytics, hot topic issue management and all meeting follow-ups
    • Ensure ongoing training with Channel partner customer service team to ensure partner teams effectively respond to customer calls, inquiries and order requirements
    • Manage consignment customer requests, invoicing and all data sets; ensure accurate and timely replenishment and invoicing
    • Ensure connectivity with all channel partners and BTG’s 3PL for all DSCSA data; Provide Serial # scan data to channel partners for any shipment anomalies
    • Analysis and accurate reconciliation of all Channel Partner Invoices and creation of PO’s to ensure timely and accurate payment of channel fees.
    • Support Annual NABP Accreditation activities to ensure ongoing state and federal compliance for distribution licensure
  2. Manage all Trade data sets across various vendors; Analyze Data and assist with internal reporting
    • Manage all Channel Partner Data Sets: Sales of BTG products to wholesalers and wholesaler sales to hospitals; Sales data through 3PL portal; EDI data through Third Party Aggregator; Excel files from Consignor Channel
    • Daily and Weekly reporting; Monthly management reporting; Lost Sales and Service Levels, others as needed
    • Provide critical analytical insights on all Trade data, orders, processes and procedures to provide insight into product performance and drive future strategic initiatives    
    • Support end of month analytics and reconciliations for finance and other groups
  3. Oversight of In-house Direct Product Replacement Program
    • Manage support team to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer replacement requests
    • Weekly and Monthly reconciliation reporting and analytics
  4. Liaison with Third Party Logistics (3PL) partner as needed:
    • Manage and ensure resolution and follow up with any order issues
    • Manage any associated 3PL financial components: invoices, credits, credit limits, etc. related to Trade Channel Partners
  5. Government Pricing and Pricing Analytics support
    • Verify BTG monthly/quarterly government pricing data in conjunction with internal contracts team, 3rd Party pricing vendor, and BTG finance group
    • Communicate list price updates to external partners and pricing compendia
    • Manage or assist with other ad hoc reporting as requested
  6. Troubleshoot order issues to bring resolution:
    • Ensure orders filled efficiently and correctly; resolving were issues have occurred
    • Occasional after-hours responsibility for any just in time order resolution
  7. Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with Company values.
  8. Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and previous channel management strongly desired
  • High level user in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Superior analytical writing and presentation skills with the ability to present data and findings, both orally and in writing, utilizing excel and other business intelligence platforms
  • Outstanding customer relationship, interpersonal, and communication skills with the established ability to collaborate and effectively work with diverse audiences and influence cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Understanding of EDI datasets (852,867, etc.)
  • Able to perform all job responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail required
